2nd – Science and technology

Ontario's Grade 2 science curriculum allows students to develop their understanding of life science, physical science, and Earth science. Students explore the needs of living things, the life cycles of animals and plants, and the characteristics of natural habitats. They also learn about concepts related to energy, forces, and motion by observing simple physical phenomena. Students are encouraged to ask questions and conduct experiments to explore the natural world, while developing skills in observation, data collection, and communicating results.
