MHF4U - 12th, Advanced Functions

Advanced Functions, Grade 12, University Preparation (MHF4U) This course allows students to deepen their understanding of functions. Students explore and apply the properties of exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, polynomial, and rational functions. Students deepen their understanding of the mathematics of rates of change and increase their understanding of the characteristics of functions by applying them to a variety of problems. Throughout the course, students learn to communicate the steps of their mathematical reasoning clearly and precisely. This course is of particular interest to students seeking to consolidate their understanding of mathematics before undertaking university studies or who wish to enroll in mathematics courses at university. Note. Students may first take the Grade 12 Advanced Functions course and then the Grade 12 Calculus and Vectors course, or take both of these Grade 12 courses concurrently. Prerequisite: Grade 11 Functions, University Prep Course, or Grade 12 Mathematics of Technology in College, College Prep Course
