Newcomer Support Program 3, Open Course (FFPCO) This course allows newcomer students who need to upgrade their literacy skills to improve their reading, writing, and oral communication skills. Students read a variety of literary and everyday texts, including a work from French Canada and texts from the global Francophonie, to acquire cultural references. They write a variety of literary and everyday texts, make various presentations, and gain greater fluency in oral communication. The course also allows students to acquire thinking skills to better understand and analyze the world around them. Learning activities emphasize the acquisition of sociocultural knowledge and know-how that promote the student's integration into their new environment. Students learn to appreciate the Francophone culture of Ontario, Canada, and the international community. This course is designed to prepare students for the FFPDO course or the FRA2D, FRA3C, or FRA3E course. Prerequisite: Newcomer Support Program 2, Open Course, or equivalent
