Newcomer Support Program 2, Open Course (FFPBO) This course allows newcomer students who need to upgrade their literacy skills to develop essential knowledge and skills in oral communication, reading, and writing. Particular emphasis is placed on the processes of reading, writing, and oral communication in interpretation and presentation situations, as well as essential linguistic and textual knowledge. Students read and write a variety of everyday texts for practical purposes and develop literacy skills that allow them to inform themselves, learn, and understand the world around them. Students learn to appreciate the Francophone culture of Ontario and Canada while sharing their own. Through learning activities, students acquire effective work and personal management methods that promote greater autonomy at school and in the community. This course is designed to prepare students for the FFPCO course or the FRA1D or FRA2P course. Prerequisite: Newcomer Support Program 1, Open Course, or equivalent
