Geography Environment and Resource Management, Grade 12, University/College Preparation (CGR4M) This course allows students to explore the interactions between humans and the environment, particularly the impact of human activity on major Earth processes, as well as on species and natural spaces. Students will explore issues such as sustainable natural resource management and pollution reduction, and examine government policies and international agreements related to these environmental issues. Using critical thinking concepts in geography, the inquiry process, and spatial technologies, students will acquire the skills necessary to recognize the complexity and fragility of ecosystems and to consider a more sustainable and balanced approach to the environment. Prerequisite: Any University, University/College Preparation, or College Preparation course in the Canadian and World Studies, French, or Social Sciences and Humanities curricula.
