CGW4U - 12th, Global Issues: A Geographical Analysis

Geography Global Issues: A Geographic Analysis, Grade 12, University Preparation (CGW4U) This course allows students to explore the challenges of creating a more sustainable and equitable world. Students explore issues such as economic disparities, environmental threats, globalization, human rights, and quality of life while examining government policies, international agreements, and collective and individual responsibilities related to these geographic issues. Using critical thinking concepts in geography, the inquiry process, and spatial technologies, students develop the skills needed to analyze these complex issues, including their impact on the natural and human environments across countries or regions of the world. Prerequisite: Any University Preparation or University/College Preparation course in the Canadian and World Studies, French, or Social Sciences and Humanities curricula
