History Adventures in World History, Grade 12, Pre-Service Course (CHM4E) This course explores the major events and issues in world history, from the beginnings of humankind to the present day. Students study political, economic, social, and cultural forces at different times and in different regions of the world. In addition to examining the influence of conflict, religion, trades or professions, the arts, and technology on the lives and identities of individuals, students explore the contributions of significant figures to the heritage of humanity. Using the concepts of critical thinking in history and the process of inquiry, which includes analyzing and interpreting evidence, students acquire the skills necessary to understand diverse experiences and facets of human history. Prerequisite: Canadian History Since the First World War, Grade 10, theoretical or applied course, or locally developed Canadian history course carrying a compulsory Grade 10 credit
