CHY4C - 12th, World History since the 15th Century

History World History Since the 15th Century, Grade 12, College Preparation (CHY4C) This course examines the significant changes and events in world history since the 15th century. Students will study changes that have occurred in the political, economic, and social spheres of the world, as well as the impact of major conflicts and cooperative interventions on global relations. Using the concepts of critical thinking in history and the process of inquiry, which includes the analysis and interpretation of evidence, students will acquire the skills necessary to understand the major turning points in world history and the historical forces that have shaped contemporary society. Prerequisite: Any University Preparation, University/College Preparation, or College Preparation course in the Canadian and World Studies, French, or Social Sciences and Humanities curricula.
