Equity and Social Justice: From Theory to Practice, Grade 12, University/College Preparation (HSE4M) This course allows students to explore various theoretical, social, and historical foundations related to issues specific to equity and social justice and to analyze strategies for achieving positive social change. This course also leads them to recognize the need to act to defend the fundamental rights of individuals both at the Canadian and global levels. The design and implementation of an initiative addressing equity or a social justice issue provides students with the opportunity to engage in meaningful social action. This course, like all courses in the Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum, also targets the development of research and communication skills. Prerequisite: Any University, University/College, or College Preparatory course in the Humanities and Social Sciences, French, or Canadian and World Studies curricula
