Environmental Science, Grade 11, Workplace Preparation (SVN3E) This course provides students with the knowledge and skills related to environmental science needed to make informed decisions at work and in their personal lives. Students study a wide range of topics, including the impact of human activity on the environment and health, principles of sustainable natural resource management, energy conservation, and sustainable development strategies and safety measures implemented in various workplaces. This course provides students with a solid foundation in environmental literacy and provides an opportunity to evaluate the environmental benefits and drawbacks of their experiences in the workplace and in everyday life. Prerequisite: Grade 9 Science, academic or applied, or a locally developed science course that qualifies for a compulsory Grade 9 or 10 credit.
