Interactions with School-Aged Children, Grade 12, College Preparation (HPD4C) This course allows students who wish to work with school-aged children and adolescents to explore various theories and practices related to the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of school-aged children. Students will also examine the legal framework defining children's rights and the responsibilities of parents and those working with young people. Activities are planned with young people to allow students to test the concepts and theories under study in practice. This course, like all those in the Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum, also targets the development of research and communication skills. Prerequisite: Any university preparation, university/college preparation, or college preparation course in the Humanities and Social Sciences, French, or Canadian and World Studies curriculum.
