Active Living and Health, Grade 11, Open Course (PPL3O) This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to make healthy lifestyle choices and adopt an active lifestyle for life. Through participation in a variety of physical activities in diverse environments, students develop appropriate movement skills and apply movement concepts and tactical skills to improve their physical fitness, motor competence, and safety, including injury prevention. Students also learn to develop and implement a personal physical activity and wellness plan. By addressing various themes, including healthy eating, healthy relationships, mental health, and the prevention of addiction and related behaviors, the course offers students healthy choices and intervention strategies. Students are also encouraged to develop their personal and interpersonal skills, as well as their critical and creative thinking, to foster their personal and identity development.
