Indigenous Languages 5, Level 5, Open (LNAEO–LNOEO) This course allows students to develop their knowledge of an Indigenous language and the culture that underlies it. Students also develop vocabulary, use complex language structures, and use conventional language. Students use the language to analyze literary works, discuss controversial topics (e.g., economic development, personal growth), and study Indigenous customs, traditions, and worldviews. Students learn about different dialects of the language being studied by communicating with others, such as Elders, electronically. Prerequisite: Indigenous Languages 4, Level 4, Open, or established proficiency
