SES4U - 12th, Earth and Space Sciences

Earth and Space Science, Grade 12, University Preparation (SES4U) This course covers the basic concepts and theories of Earth science and the Earth's place in the solar system and the Universe. After a general introduction to Earth science, students explore in more detail the materials that make up our planet, the internal and surface processes that govern it, as well as its history and supporting geological evidence. In addition, students study the influence of internal geological processes and astronomical phenomena on the celestial bodies of the solar system, as well as the origin and evolution of the Universe. This course also allows students to examine the impact of knowledge in Earth and space science on technological applications, society, and the environment. Prerequisite: Science, Grade 10, Theory
