Economics The Individual and the Economy, Grade 11, University/College Preparation (CIE3M) This course explores the challenges facing the Canadian economy and the implications of addressing these challenges. Students study the economic roles of businesses, workers, and government, as well as their own roles as consumers and producers, and analyze the influence of economic agents on economic stability and variability in Canada. Using critical thinking concepts in economics and the inquiry process, as well as economic models, students develop the skills to examine the implications of economic decisions at the individual, regional, or national levels. Prerequisite: Canadian History Since the First World War, Grade 10, Academic or Applied Course
