SKU: HZB3M
Philosophy: The Big Questions, Grade 11, University/College Preparation Course (HZB3M) This course allows students to explore the thinking of great philosophers and philosophical movements, and to reflect on big questions such as: what is a person? what is happiness? what is reality? what is the difference between scientific knowledge and other types of knowledge? Through this learning, students develop skills in critical reasoning, rational argumentation, and research, necessary to evaluate certain philosophical arguments drawn from everyday life and from disciplines other than philosophy. This course, like all those in the humanities and social sciences curriculum, also targets the development of research and communication skills. Prerequisite: None
