Required Courses French, Grade 11, Pre-Employment Course (FRA3E) This course allows students to consolidate their oral communication, reading, and writing skills. In oral communication, the emphasis is on interpreting common media products; in reading and writing, students interpret and produce useful texts related to the world of work and everyday life. The study of a novel, a story or tale, a comic strip, and a poem enhances their knowledge and appreciation of the characteristics of the Francophonie. Students use their language skills and information and communication technologies to communicate a message correctly and effectively. This course is designed to prepare students for a required course in the pre-employment stream in Grade 12. Prerequisite: French, Grade 10, Applied Course, or a locally developed French course that qualifies for a compulsory Grade 10 credit.
