MTH1W - 9th, Mathematics

Mathematics, Grade 9, Open-Ended (MTH1W) This course allows students to consolidate and continue to develop their understanding of mathematical concepts related to number sense and operations, algebra, measurement sense, geometry, data, probability, and financial literacy. Students use mathematical processes, mathematical modeling, and coding to make sense of the mathematics being studied. In addition, students apply their mathematical understanding in culturally sensitive and relevant everyday situations. Students continue to improve their mathematical reasoning skills, including proportional reasoning, spatial reasoning, and algebraic reasoning, while solving problems and communicating their thinking. Prerequisite: None
