SPH4U - 12th, Physics

Physics, Grade 12, University Preparation (SPH4U) This course provides students with a deeper understanding of the basic concepts and theories of physics. Students deepen their knowledge of the laws of dynamics, conservation of energy, and conservation of momentum, and explore electric and magnetic fields, the wave and quantum nature of light, and concepts of modern physics. In addition, students improve their research skills, learning, for example, that interpreting empirical data can provide evidence to support the development of a scientific model. Students also explore the impact of technological applications of physics on society and the environment. Prerequisite: Physics, Grade 11, University Preparation
