CGU4M - 12th, World Geography: Urban Trends and Demographic Issues

Geography World Geography: Urban Trends and Demographic Issues, Grade 12, University/College Preparation (CGU4M) This course examines the challenges of increasing urbanization and the evolution of urban ecumene in Canada and around the world. Students will study the forces that shape these ecumene, the interactions that characterize them, the quality of life found in them, and the impacts they have on human and natural systems. Using critical thinking concepts in geography, the inquiry process, and spatial technologies, students will acquire the skills needed to explore these urban issues and ways to make urban communities more sustainable and livable around the world. Prerequisite: Any university, university/college, or college course in the Canadian and World Studies, French, or Social Sciences and Humanities curricula.
