CPW4U - 12th, Canadian and Global Politics

Politics Canadian and World Politics, Grade 12, University Preparation (CPW4U) This course examines national and international political questions and issues from a variety of perspectives. Students will study political decision-making and the reactions and interventions of individuals, interest groups, and institutions such as governments, international organizations, multinational corporations, and non-governmental organizations in response to national and international issues. Using the concepts of critical political thinking and the process of inquiry, students will develop the skills needed to explore current political changes, issues, and events and communicate thoughtful opinions. Prerequisite: Any University Preparation or University/College Preparation course in the Canadian and World Studies, French, or Social Sciences and Humanities curricula.
