Politics Politics in Action: Becoming an Agent of Change, Grade 11, Open Course (CPC3O) This course explores various political issues in Canadian democracy to identify problems and necessary changes and identify viable strategies to address them. Students examine the factors that influence their own and others' political engagement and explore ways to bring about change at the local, national, and global levels. While considering the role of individuals, groups, organizations, and governments, students determine the effectiveness of strategies used to resolve or attempt to resolve issues of political change in democratic societies. Using the concepts of critical political thinking and the process of inquiry, students acquire the skills necessary to develop an action plan targeting a specific problem of political importance and recommend changes for the common good of society.
