HIF1O or HIF2O - 9th or 10th, Exploration of Family Studies

Exploration of Family Studies, Grade 9 or 10, Open Course (HIF1O/HIF2O) This course allows students to explore, within the context of the family, challenges related to the satisfaction of their basic needs, the quality of their interpersonal relationships, the management of their available resources, and the exercise of increasing responsibilities that mark their transition from adolescence to adulthood. Students acquire and develop knowledge and decision-making skills in various everyday situations. The course also leads them to explore the functioning of various families in the Canadian context as well as the resources to which they have access. This course, like all those in the Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum, also targets the development of research and communication skills. Prerequisite: None
