SKU: HSP3U
Introduction to Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology, Grade 11, University Preparation Course (HSP3U) This course allows students to explore the major schools of thought in psychology, sociology and anthropology and to develop a critical mind with respect to questions and issues related to these three disciplines. The course provides an opportunity to explore theories specific to each of these disciplines from various perspectives and to become familiar with current issues debated in the humanities and social sciences, including issues that particularly affect Ontario's Francophone community. Students develop an understanding of the research approaches and methods applied by recognized specialists in their disciplines and conduct research within a clearly defined ethical framework. This course, like all those in the humanities and social sciences curriculum, also targets the development of research and communication skills. Prerequisite: French, Grade 10, Theoretical Course (French Curriculum) or History of Canada Since the First World War, Grade 10, Theoretical Course (Canadian and World Studies Curriculum)
