MCF3M - 11th, Function Models

Function Models, Grade 11, University/College Preparation (MCF3M) This course extends the student's understanding of quadratic functions by solving various problems. Students are introduced to exponential growth and decay and trigonometric functions. They develop algebraic skills, simplify algebraic expressions, and solve equations. Students also solve problems from the financial field, exponential growth or decay problems, and problems involving the measurement of triangles in the plane and in space. Throughout the course, students learn to communicate the steps of their mathematical reasoning clearly and precisely. Prerequisite: Principles of Mathematics, Grade 10, Theoretical Course, or Methods of Mathematics, Grade 10, Applied Course
