Mathematics Methods, Grade 12, College Preparation (MAP4C) This course allows students to consolidate their understanding of mathematics by solving problems drawn from various real-life situations. Students simplify algebraic expressions and solve equations, analyze data using statistical methods, solve problems involving applications of geometry and trigonometry, financial problems involving mortgages and annuities, determine the costs associated with renting and buying a home, and develop a personal budget. Throughout the course, students learn to communicate the steps of their mathematical reasoning clearly and precisely. This course prepares students for college studies in various fields, including entrepreneurship, human resources, and health sciences, as well as for apprenticeships in certain specialized trades.
