MEL4E - , Mathematics of everyday life

Everyday Mathematics, Grade 12, Work-Ready Course (MEL4E) This course allows students to increase their understanding of mathematics and its applications in contexts associated with the world of work and everyday life. Using statistics and probability, students explore problems arising from various everyday situations. Students determine the obligations of living independently, prepare the items for a personal or family budget, and examine, for example, the cost of housing. Students solve problems using concepts of measurement, geometry, design, and proportionality. Throughout the course, students learn to communicate their mathematical reasoning clearly. Prerequisite: Everyday Mathematics, Grade 11, Work-Ready Course
