Law Understanding Canadian Law, Grade 11, University/College Preparation (CLU3M) This course focuses on Canadian law and specifically explores legal issues that impact daily life. Students acquire a working knowledge of the Canadian legal system, the exercise of rights and freedoms in Canada, and various areas of law such as family law, employment law, contract law, criminal law, and tort law. Using the concepts of critical thinking in law and the process of inquiry, students acquire the skills necessary to develop legal reasoning abilities, interpret legal issues, and analyze proposed legislation.
