Economics Economic Choices: Personal Finance, Grade 12, Career Readiness Course (CIC4E) This course allows students to examine various aspects of personal financial management, including personal budgeting, taxes, credit and debt, saving and investing, and various economic issues such as the underground economy, economic inequality, and consumer behavior. By using critical thinking concepts in economics and the inquiry process, including simple economic models, students acquire the skills necessary to better understand economic issues and structures and to analyze the impact of economic decisions, including their own, at the personal, community, and national levels. Prerequisite: Canadian History Since the First World War, Grade 10, academic or applied course, or a locally developed Canadian History course carrying a compulsory Grade 10 credit
