Geography Exploring Canada's Geography, Grade 9, Cross-Channel (CGC1W) (2024) This course builds on the learning in Grades 7 and 8 geography. In this course, students explore the relationships within and between natural and human systems in Canada, and the ways in which these systems interact with other parts of the world. Students also examine environmental and economic issues and their impact on various sectors, including natural resources, industries, careers, responsible land use and development, and sustainability. In addition, students explore the connections that diverse communities and individuals make with the physical environment and with each other across Canada, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit perspectives on these connections. Students apply critical thinking concepts in geography and utilize the inquiry process and geospatial technologies throughout their inquiries. Prerequisite: None
