1st – Social Studies

The Year 1 social studies curriculum focuses on exploring the community and the environment in which students live. Students learn to understand the roles and responsibilities of community members, including public services, rules, and individual rights. The curriculum also covers basic geography, identifying familiar places such as home, school, and the city, and understanding the relationships between these places. The goal is to develop students' understanding of their place in the world and introduce them to citizenship.
