2nd – Social Studies

Ontario's Grade 2 social studies curriculum focuses on students' understanding of their community and environment. Students explore the diversity of human communities by studying their values, beliefs, and cultures. The curriculum also addresses the concepts of citizenship and civic participation, encouraging students to consider the responsibilities of individuals and groups in society. Students are also introduced to basic geographic concepts, such as maps and directions, to better understand their location in the world.
