3rd – French

The Grade 3 French program in Ontario aims to deepen students' oral communication, reading, and writing skills. In oral communication, students learn to organize their ideas more clearly and coherently, ask questions, and participate actively in discussions. In reading, they read longer, more complex texts, using comprehension strategies such as summarizing and inferencing. In writing, they learn to structure complete paragraphs and develop ideas over several sentences, expanding their vocabulary and applying more complex grammatical rules. The goal is to build students' confidence in their ability to use French to express themselves more fluently and in detail.
