6th – French

The Grade 6 French program in Ontario aims to strengthen students' oral communication, reading, and writing skills. In oral communication, students participate in more complex discussions and presentations, where they must organize their ideas, argue in a structured manner, and actively listen to others. In reading, students read a variety of literary genres, informational texts, and multimedia documents, and deepen their ability to analyze texts through strategies such as analyzing point of view, themes, and narrative elements. In writing, students work on larger projects, such as essays, reports, and narratives, refining their mastery of writing, editing, and publishing techniques. The program emphasizes autonomy and efficiency in text production.
