6th – Artistic Education

The Grade 6 Visual Arts program in Ontario encourages students to explore various artistic techniques and express themselves creatively through painting, sculpture, digital arts, and other mediums. Students deepen their mastery of tools and materials to create works of art while exploring more advanced concepts of composition, perspective, and texture. The program also emphasizes the analysis and critique of artwork, encouraging students to discuss the artist's intention, style, and visual effects. In addition, students are encouraged to discover and appreciate works of art from different cultures and time periods. The goal is to develop students' creativity, critical thinking, and artistic sensibilities.
