8th – French

The Grade 8 French program in Ontario focuses on deepening reading, writing, and oral communication skills. In reading, students analyze increasingly complex literary and informational texts, focusing on analyzing narrative strategies, stylistic elements, and underlying themes. In writing, students improve their ability to write argumentative essays, critiques, summaries, and narratives, relying on clear structures and refining their vocabulary and grammar. In oral communication, they participate in more elaborate discussions, debates, and presentations, developing skills to organize and express their ideas coherently and persuasively.
