8th – Artistic Education

Ontario's Grade 8 visual arts curriculum allows students to develop their creativity and technical skills through a variety of mediums, such as painting, sculpture, photography, and digital arts. Students explore the principles of design, composition, and perspective, and are encouraged to create works that communicate ideas, emotions, and messages. The program emphasizes the critical analysis of art, allowing students to reflect on the artistic process and examine works through a historical and cultural lens. Students also learn to organize and present their artwork professionally.
