Geography Regional Geography, Grade 11, University/College Preparation (CGD3M) This course explores the interactions between humans and the geographic environment of a given region, as well as the connections between this region and other regions of the world. Students investigate geographic issues related to the environmental, socioeconomic, and cultural characteristics of the region. Some topics covered include the region's natural resources, sustainable resource management, economic development, globalization, and quality of life. Using critical thinking concepts in geography, the inquiry process, and spatial technologies, students acquire the skills necessary to analyze patterns and trends in the region and identify possibilities for its future direction. Note: This course is designed to focus on the geography of a region or country chosen by the school.
