AVI3O - 11th, Visual Arts

Visual Arts Visual Arts, Grade 11, Open Course (AVI3O) This course allows students to use the processes of creation and critical analysis in visual arts to create and present their studio work and to help organize exhibitions. By studying significant works in art history – including works from Prehistory, Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Baroque and Classical periods, the 20th century, Canadian art since the 19th century, and the art of French Ontario – students develop skills and acquire knowledge. The aspects, modes of expression, materials, and techniques to which students are exposed allow them to personalize their work and express their identity, both in the visual arts and in the Francophonie. The course also raises students' awareness of the world of visual arts, providing them with the opportunity to explore issues in the visual arts and to become actively involved in their own work and in teamwork.
