AVI4M - 12th, Visual Arts

Visual Arts Visual Arts, Grade 12, University/College Preparation (AVI4M) This course allows students to independently use the processes of creation and critical analysis in visual arts during their studio work, organization, and exhibition management, while demonstrating innovation and technical skill. By using works from the historical continuum studied—including works from the 20th century to the present, contemporary and current artistic manifestations in architecture and applied arts, and works from French Ontario—students hone their skills and refine their knowledge of visual arts. The aspects, modes of expression, materials, and techniques to which students are exposed allow them to express their personal metaphor as an artist and their identity in the Francophonie. The course also encourages students to engage in the world of visual arts through rigor and a keen interest in their work and through actions to defend the arts in their immediate or broader environment.
