Visual Arts Visual Arts, Grade 12, Pre-Employment Course (AVI4E) This course allows students to apply, among other things in authentic workplace contexts, the processes of creation and critical analysis in visual arts to their studio work, organization, and exhibition management, while demonstrating initiative and responsibility. By studying significant works in art history—particularly works that come from artistic movements and applied arts from the 19th century to the present day and that find applications in fashion, graphic design, and crafts—students improve their skills and increase their knowledge of visual arts. The aspects, modes of expression, materials, and techniques to which students are exposed allow them to personalize their work and better express their identity, both in the visual arts and in the French-speaking world. The course also encourages students to demonstrate their interest in the visual arts through their dedication and perseverance in their work and through the promotion of the visual arts in their immediate or broader environment.
