Individuals and Families in Canada Grade 12, University Preparation (HHS4U) This course examines, from a sociological perspective, various theories that describe and explain the development of individuals, intimate relationships, and family relationships in Canadian society. Students acquire analytical skills to evaluate the factors and issues facing individuals and families in Canada. This learning uses different approaches to foster critical thinking. This course, like all courses in the Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum, also targets the development of research and communication skills. Prerequisite: Any University Preparation or University/College Preparation course in the Humanities and Social Sciences, French, or Canadian and World Studies curriculum.
